Katie + Patrick – State College, PA wedding photographer

Kate and Patch introduced me to woodsmen’s sports.

Their romance began on the Penn State Woodsmen’s sporting team.

Kate sent me a youtube link to an explanation, and I lost myself in the abyss of youtubedum watching cool plaid shirted people hack sawing, chain sawing, climbing up tall log polls and doing all other sorts of way cool things that I never knew people actually do.  (ps Kate and Patch, sorry, I know I’m botching up the the proper woodsmen’s verbiage.)

Kate and Patch, you are the real deal.  Genuine.  Strong.  Humble.  Crazy-in-love.  And let’s not forget awesome with an axe.  I wish this world was filled with lots lots lots more people like you.

Thanks for letting me in on the fun and inspiring me with your deep, abiding love.

Everyone felt comfortable around Kate.  She’s so cheerful and warm.

Love these details…

The wedding was held at Kate’s aunt and uncle’s vegetable farm.  By the entrance there was a charming vegetable stand.  This is where I got my favorite shot of the rings.

I didn’t just take one shot though because the awesome clerk at the vegetable stand got really into my ring shots with me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. (I am so sorry I forget your name) vegetable man for your enthusiasm for not just vegetables but for the creative process as well : ).   I really liked the veggie guy with ring earrings that you put together.  I don’t ever ever ever expect to have that much fun shooting rings again.

Ahhh… the ceremony… let the crying and laughter begin full force. This ceremony was all heart.

And here is my favorite laughter that hurts your belly shot

Patch is a woodsmen so we needed woodsy pictures

Here’s some shots from inside the vegetable stand

This is Kate’s aunt and uncle.  They worked so hard to have the wedding on their farm.  I adore their love for one another.

I will say I really enjoyed eating food that was picked a few feet away.

One of the best parts of the farm was the flower gardens.  A perfect location for romance.

Kate, you are lovely… and so much fun!!!!

We headed out to the flower gardens where all of the lady’s bouquets came from.

Wow!

You know it’s a good day when the groom is wearing cowboy boots.

More fun!

Did I mention we put Patch to work?

The day was beautiful, Kate and Patch.  I am so thankful for my amazing clients and the privilege to be a part of their wedding day.
